In a medium sauce pan, on medium heat add 3 cups of water
1 tsp. sea salt and 2 Tbsp. olive oil
Bring to a boil.
Add 2 cups short grain white rice. When water is evaporated from the top, cover with lid and cook on low fire for 20 minutes. Turn rice with spoon before serving.
Plate rice and cover it with 1 jar of warm Papo’s Puerto Rican Beans
Warm your Papo’s Puerto Rican beans and top your baked potato with sour cream and cheese. Another favorite is avocado and chopped red onion. Or create your own toppings!
In a 9×9 glass dish spread one 8-ounce cream cheese. Top with Papo’s Puerto Rican beans. (As much as you desire) Sprinkle with shredded cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Serve with tostado chips.
Spread a layer of tortilla chips on a serving plate. Top with warmed con queso sauce, warmed Papo’s Puerto Rican beans, chopped red onion, jalapeno peppers and fresh tomato. Heat in microwave for 1-2 minutes or until ingredients are warm and melted.
Spoon Papo’s Puerto Rican beans on a flour or corn tortilla. Fill with shredded cooked rotisserie chicken, beef or pork if meat is desired. Add your favorite cheese and diced onion. Roll burritos and place in a lightly sprayed baking dish. Brush top of burritos with oil and top with your favorite cheese. Bake at 350 for 20-30 minutes until warm. Top with chopped lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and sour cream.
Make any hot dog a party hit by topping with Papo’s Puerto Rican beans. Spoon the warm beans over your cooked hot dog. Top with cheddar cheese and diced red onions.
